Round 4 of the 2006 SCORR Modified Championship won by Team-X

During a weekend of baking hot weather, Round 4 of the SCORR championship was run at Park Hall Farm, Oswestry. The track was dry and dusty and the speeds high. During the 1st day the racing took its toll on the assembled cars and one by one they dropped out either quietly or in a ball of flames! Sadly the Team-X apprentice broke his car on the practice lap, BUT remained happy and thus demonstrates a key quality of his impending full membership.

Amazingly though the RS200 kept going! Not only that but since its long running misfire had been located and cured it was running better than ever. The only problem being the straights on the track were not long enough to use all of its new found power. The day ended with Mr.French trading cookery tips with Mon-sewer Grundy whilst cooking up a storm on the BBQ.

Into the second day and only a handfull of cars remained, in the end it came down to Colin, John and Myself to battle it out. With the other two being Aircooled in meant that Team-X was victorous in the Modified class and shared points with John who won the Aircooled class.

Could this be the turning point in the reliabilty of the car? We will see at Gilmorton on the 23rd/24th September.

Team-X triumphant in Holland

The National Buggy Weekend in Lelystad this year proved to be the first win by the RS200. Despite breakages the week before the car perfromed faultlessley and led by 5 seconds at the end of the session. Not only that BUT it did not break ( first time ever! )

SCORR beaten to 3rd place in Team Games

In the RayonSpelen the wheezing OAP's from SCORR were trounced by the Adonis like athletes from theTeam-X. Over a series of challenges, the finely honed men and women of the team, some of whom have been training for over half a minute before the event, pulled out all the stops to secure victory over their arch rivals.

Rumours started by bad losers SCORR over a bribery scam are of course unfounded.
